This Friday I'm going to lead songinspriation in the cell group for Bible study. The first song I pick is 'This is My Father's World'. I love this beautiful song so much, whenever I sing I can see and feel what a beautiful world God created. Here is the lyrics:
This is my Father's world,
And to my listening ears
All nature sings, and 'round me rings
The music of the spheres.
This is my Father's world:
I rest me in the thought of rocks and trees, of skies and seas.
His hand the wonders wrought.
This is my Father's world
The birds their carols raise,
The morning light, the lily white, Declare their Maker's praise.
This is my Father's world:
He shines in all that's fair;
In the rustling grass I hear Him pass,
He speaks to me everywhere.
This is my Father's world, O let me never forget
That though the wrong seems often so strong, God is the ruler yet.
This is my Father's world:
The battle is not done;
Jesus who died shall be satisfied,
And earth and heaven be one.
First time I sang this song was in a church retreat several years ago. We were in salvation camp nearby Dallas area. Salvation camps are always located in the beautiful place. Singing that song was reminding me how lucky I was in such a beautiful place. Most of the time we take granted of it, but that's the first time i 've seen nature around me differently- I feel so graceful that I am created by Heavenly Father and can see everything around me.
